The flight instruction journey of Campos started at Epic Flight Academy in New Smyrna Beach, Florida after which he received his Certified Flight Instructor certification.
The academy remembered him as “a skilled and dedicated pilot with an undeniable passion for flying.”
A Heartfelt Farewell
Campos had a conversation with his loved ones about an approaching family cruise right before joining the aircraft.
His uncle, John Lane, recounted, “He was looking forward to going on a cruise next week on the Icon of the Seas, the cruise ship.”
The future plan involved ten relatives traveling from Florida to accompany him on his upcoming cruise. Everyone was expected to attend this upcoming big celebration.
The departed body of Campos now resides in Washington because his mother traveled there to handle funeral arrangements.
His family remains devastated, with his uncle adding, “His mother isn’t doing well. We’re just sick right now.”
A Life Remembered
Campos showed his airport dedication through his early life activities.
The young man spent his youth in Brooklyn before moving to Florida to live with his girlfriend.
The family remembers Campos spent his early years obsessed with flight since he frequently used small airplanes as toys.
Lane reminisced about the time when his father told him that flying airplane was his ultimate goal. He was living his dream.”
Flying was his lifelong aspiration so six years back he entered flight school where he applied all his efforts until he earned his pilot’s license.

The person who lost their life included First Officer Samuel Lilley at age 29 since he had just proposed to his fiancée and was also about to earn his captaincy certification.
Flight attendants Ian Epstein together with Danasia Elder perished as a result of the fatal aircraft accident.
The figure skating community experienced a devastating loss when young skaters Spencer Lane at 16 years old and Jinna Han at 13 years old passed away.
Aboard the aircraft that met its fate were the renowned Russian coaches Yevgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov.
